Dr. Julie Gerberding, the director of the CDC, and Michael O. Leavitt, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, visited Guatemala last week. Kim had a chance to talk to them during their visit. The picture is of Kim presenting her work on onchocerciasis (river blindness...or Oncho, if you can't pronounce the full name like me...). Dr. Gerberding is the woman with white hair that is obscured and Sec. Leavitt is the man in the suit. She also ended up touring Antigua with them.
